Job Purpose:
Report to electrical supervisor and manager, while coordinating with all levels of supervision. Install electrical components on vehicle engines and chassis (switches, lights, modules, displays, sensors), vehicle and cabin wire harness assemblies and electro-mechanical assemblies. Ensure production vehicles are delivered according to the production schedule and service contracts. Assist other employees as required.

Essential Functions:

- Fabricate and install electrical assemblies from drawings, schematics, and sketches.
- Fabricate minor wire harness assemblies, cut wire, crimp terminals
- Perform assembly work from drawings, pick lists, and bills of material
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings and work instructions
- Perform Electro-Mechanical Assembly work - build new, repair, or modify units
- Assemble wire panels, junction boxes and subassemblies.
- Maintain and improve quality standards.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area, employ 5S processes.
- Ensure compliance in all safety, health, and environmental regulations, policies, and procedures for a goal of zero incidents and injuries.
- Communicate consistently on all activities to appropriate individuals (internal & external).

Maintain ongoing communication and adhere to all Companywide policies to eliminate and/or reduce exposure to liability.

Experience/Training/Education:
Required: High School diploma with 0-5 years of related experience in a similar capacity. Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.

Desired: Previous experience in industrial or manufacturing, electrical background, 12-24VDC Systems and experience with heavy equipment. with 1-5 years of related experience in a similar capacity. Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to meet deadlines; to understand and follow written and verbal instructions; Ability to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with supervisors, members of management, vendors, and other employees.

Physical and Environmental Elements:
This is a production classification and employees work indoors and at times outdoors (in all seasons) with exposure to noise, chemicals, heavy equipment and machinery. Accurate hand/eye coordination is required. Finger dexterity is required, as well as hand strength, with the ability to grasp, lift, push and pull. Work involves considerable climbing, twisting, bending, squatting and kneeling for long periods of time. May lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds and pull approximately 20 lbs. Need to have the ability to ascend and descent a ladder and/or scaffolding.
