**Position Summary**

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide technical support for computer hardware and software by resolving “helpdesk” tickets
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware (laptops, desktops) and printers
- Install and configure computer software and upgrades
- Develop manuals, procedures, and documentation
- Create/maintain user accounts in Active Directory infrastructure
- Maintain all user/departmental access to various files/folders on our file server
- Maintain IT hardware asset database including mobile equipment policy and required updates to signed user forms
- Coordinate with external hardware vendors for PC/Notebook hardware repairs
- Diagnose and recommend solutions for hardware and software problems
- Manage software licensing compliance and required upgrades and maintenance programs
- Implement and maintain anti-virus and other measures, to keep servers and clients secure from intrusion
- Other duties as required

Qualifications, Experience & Education
- College/University diploma in Information Technology or computer-related program
- At least 5 years’ experience as an IT Support Specialist
- Knowledge of networking technologies - local area network, TCP/IP
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Windows 10
- Knowledge on how to build and configure various desktop PCs and laptops
- Knowledge of single sign-on and multi-factor authentication
- Ability to work independently, or with a team
- Must possess strong multitasking capabilities
- Ability to quickly learn and understand new software and hardware
- Motivated and eager to learn
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate with a sense of urgency
- Ability to question the status quo and actively take part in the continuous improvement of procedures and tools
- Experience with an ERP implementations and cloud solutions is a definite asset
- Experience with IT frameworks concepts (e.g. ITIL, COBIT, CIS) including working knowledge of formal change management processes being an asset
- Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practice
- Ability to travel to our Hamilton or Port Weller offices. Travel to Thunder Bay may be required, but very infrequently
