**Schedule: 6hrs per week every Saturday**

**1-1 Support: Childcare Worker, In Home Support Program**

As the 1-1 Support Childcare Worker your role is to provide direct support to the child or youth. This would be achieved by being able to create a consistent, dependable, and steady relationship with the child or youth. With being able to communicate clearly and consistently with the Program Coordinator. Are you looking for a part time position and looking to make extra income, then this position is for you.

**Schedule: Part time 8hrs per week( 2 shift per week)**

**Responsibilities**
- 1-1 support towards the child or youth
- Promote the child or youth through role modeling and guidance to respect themselves and others
- Organize and participate in recreational activities including outside play or structured developmental activities in the community
- Involve the child or youth on deciding how to spend time together
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with the community service providers working with the child or youth
- Support the emotional and social development of children and youth
- Identify any signs of a child’s emotional or developmental challenges and discuss with the SFFA Program Coordinator

**Education**
- Minimum High School Diploma; Post Secondary education in early childhood education is considered an asset

**Experience**
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 1 years of relevant childcare experience in addition to education
- Criminal Record Check inclusive of Vulnerable Sector Check
- Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
- Effective organizational skills including time management, the ability to think clearly and logically, to problem solve effectively, and the ability to function with mínimal supervision
- Maintain a high degree of professionalism regarding demeanor, dress, language, communication, and boundaries
- Have a high level of interpersonal and communication skills for team collaboration
- Effective, respectful, and professional written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable with and ability to remain calm during high stress situations
- Impeccable working relationships and knowledge of partnering agencies
- Ensuring personal self-care routines relating to mental, emotional, and physical health
