**Enterprise FX Data Analyst**

**Contract**

**Halifax, NS, Canada - Hybrid (3 days)**

**PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Identify and analyze data sources across all lines of business and client segments globally to consolidate **FX** transactional data into a central repository.
- Determine key data attributes, map attributes across different data sources, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Transform and derive attributes required for enterprise-wide **FX** reporting, ensuring data quality and consistency.
- Develop analytics to better organize **FX data** by segment, channel, product, and customer groupings to provide insights into trends and changes in client behaviour.
- Extract actionable **FX** client insights to support decision-making and provide feedback on investments and enhancements to the **FX** offering.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to document business requirements, define success criteria, and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Write functional specifications for technical teams to implement data solutions.
- Assist in developing reports, dashboards, and visualizations to provide insights into FX revenue, profitability, and client behaviour.
- Participate in project meetings to facilitate communication between business and technical stakeholders.
- Support the review of technical solutions and ensure they meet business expectations.

**JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS**

**Basic Qualifications**
- 2-5 years of experience in data analysis, business analysis, or a related field.
- Foundational knowledge of **FX products**, including **FX spot**, forward, options, **banking** cash management, deposits, and cross-border FX transactions, along with a solid understanding of client revenue and profitability metrics.
- Proficiency in **SQL** for **querying** and **analyzing data**.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Excel.
- Familiarity with **Python** or other scripting languages for data analysis is an asset.
- Bachelor’s degree in **Data Science**, **Computer Science, Finance**, or a related field.

**Other Required Qualifications**
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and business domains.

**Nice-to-Have Qualifications**
- Working knowledge of big data technologies and cloud platforms, including Databricks, Snowflake, and Microsoft Azure.
- Knowledge of machine learning methods such as classification, predictive modelling, anomaly detection, and natural language processing.
- Exposure to cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) or big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Databricks).

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $60.00-$70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
