Every decision in the hotel tries to take into consideration the environmental impact and we hope our associates will share that same passion. You will work alongside the Assistant General Manager and other members of the management team to ensure we are in top tier of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Supervise, coach room attendants, housepersons, laundry attendants - Supervise and inspect the cleaning of the guest rooms, public areas and back of the house to achieve a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction - Respond to guest requests, concerns and problems to ensure guest satisfaction. - Implement emergency training and procedures to ensure appropriate protection of the hotel, guests, staff and company assets. **REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES** - You should have a minimum of 1 year experience in housekeeping or front office (hotel housekeeping an asset) - Hotel Restaurant Management Degree also an asset - Knowledge of Opera, is also an asset - Ability to grasp, lift, carry or otherwise move materials weighing up to 100 lbs - Ability to move throughout building, bend, stoop and reach to assist other staff members, i.e., room attendants, and housepersons to complete their individual tasks if situation demands - Must have the ability to communicate in English, with French also preferred. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. - Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co - workers with their job duties and be a team player.
