About this opportunity:
Cenovus’ Husky Midstream Customer Service Operations & Systems team is recruiting for a Scheduling Lead. This position is a customer service and operations role based in Calgary with a primary responsibility for overseeing the team’s timely execution of strategic scheduling movements of heavy crude oil, diluent and synthetic while monitoring inventories to ensure all obligations are met with a strong customer focus. Responsibilities may also include heavy crude oil production forecasting, month end volumetric accounting, project related tasks and assisting the team with daily pipeline operations and customer accounts. This position is one of the primary contact positions with shippers, connected carriers, trunklines, internal pipeline field personnel, and management. Weekend on-call and after core hours availability is a requirement.

The Scheduling Lead role requires the individual to have the ability to work well in a fast paced, deadline driven, multi-tasking environment and requires the individual to solve problems by prioritizing the most critical issues and making informed decisions. This position will lead and promote growth of the Scheduling team in coordination with the Manager and the business unit’s strategic plan. There will be a high level of collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

This position has an on-call requirement during after core business hours and weekends (issue and deadline driven).

What you’ll do:
- Provide oversight of the scheduling of daily movements of crude and diluent through the Husky Midstream Pipelines and Terminals to meet all customer requirements and supply availability including the Lloydminster Refinery, Lloydminster Upgrader, Connected Carriers and Trunklines-
- Develop strategies, contingency plans and problem-solving methods employing an ability to react quickly and efficiently to pipeline sensitivity due to all operational issues (Husky Midstream Pipelines and Terminals, Connected Carriers and Trunklines)- Direct, assist with and promote growth of direct reports by demonstrating leadership competencies- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with respect to day-to-day operations, responsible to the Manager for daily accountabilities and status updates while consulting and informing (RACI)- Develop training strategies, plan and design training materials, train team members- Address business/stakeholder information requests, bring forward business/stakeholder issues and concerns, participate in or lead issue resolution to ensure business and customer requirements have been addressed

Who you are:
- Legally authorized to work in Canada- Must have post-secondary degree in Business, Economics, and/or related Undergraduate Program- A minimum of 5 years crude oil or relative industry experience- A minimum of 5 years in pipeline systems operations and inventory management- Comprehensive knowledge of the pipeline’s rules and regulations is considered an asset
