**Automotive Service Cashier**

Universal Ford Lincoln is looking to add a **full-time service cashier **to our team.

Last year was a tough year for a lot of people - especially with many jobs being lost. At Universal Ford our focus has always been on our customers and on our hard-working employees. We pride ourselves on how we have worked to provide the best situation for our staff possible during these difficult times and have been lucky enough to have had a successful business year. As a result, we grew our team and promoted several people from within. We are now looking to continue that growth by adding a full-time customer service specialist.

Reporting to the Service Manager, the Service Cashier is responsible for providing administrative services as well as facilitate a smooth experience for our customers. To ensure the operation of the service department, the Service Cashier will need to ensure they complete their duties effectively and efficiently. The position requires flexibility and the willingness to learn to support other facets of the business.

**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate appointments with customers and answering questions about work completed
- Be a safety advocate and report to management for anything seen that may be unsafe for either customers or employees
- Organize and keep track of all customer keys
- Process all payments with accuracy and understanding of what work was done and why
- Be willing to be trained in other jobs so the entire department is supported if needed

**Requirements**:

- Phone etiquette (answering phones, dealing with customers in a positive manner) is a must
- Bookkeeping, ADP, and dealership and collision industry experience would all be assets
- Is a self-starter, has multi-tasking and prioritizing skills, interpersonal and team building skills, problem solving and decision-making skills, excellent communication skills (including verbal, listening and written)
