Plaza Premium Group is proud managing partners with the national flag bearer, Air Canada, and therefore is looking for professional and highly skilled individuals for various FOH & BOH positions for the state-of-the-art Air Canada Signature Suite at Vancouver International Airport. In order to serve Air Canada’s super elite, high-profile customers travelling on Air Canada’s Signature Class on select international routes, Plaza Premium Lounge is seeking skilled professionals for both FOH & BOH from, fine-dining, high-end restaurant/hotel backgrounds only.

**Overall responsibility**

Monitor operations, staff performance and lounge condition.

**Key Areas of Duties and Responsibility**:

- Engage with customers in a friendly manner.
- Act as on shift supervisor to oversee the floor in the absent of supervisor, assistant manager, deputy managers.
- Take customer’s order; identifying customers' special dietary needs and special requests; transmit order to kitchen
- Stay updated on current menu choices and specialties, etc. with the ability to make suggestions
- Help customers select food and beverages; offering; suggesting; explaining the chef's specialties;
- Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
- Assist with special events if needed
- Follow sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies.
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar patrons, pouring beverages; prepping for service; stocking bar; carrying out opening and closing duties
- Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age, perform all guest contact activities in a cordial, efficient and professional manner
- Perform inventory check and restocking for both front of house and bar.
- To train new hires and other team members on menu, standard procedures, company polices, sanitation planning and more to ensure all new hires are clear on the performance expectation and are able to carry out tasks.
- Monitor staff performance and assist in periodic performance review.
- Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
- Promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management when necessary
- Other duties assign by the management as needed.

**Qualities & Requirements**:

- At least 1 year’s work experience in similar management role in either F&B, Hospitality, or other customer focus industry.
- Valid Serving It Right certified
- Valid Food Safe Level 1 certified
- Strong supervision skills
- Strong sense of customer service
- Communication and writing skills in English.
- Any second language is an asset.
- Good organizational and prioritize skills
- Positive attitude and self-motivated
- High sense of responsibility and attention to detail
- Problem solving ability
- Able to stand for long hours
