Strathroy, Canada Commander Industries Inc. Full time

Commander Industries Inc. is currently seeking a Production Supervisor/Lead hand to join our team. This role requires an outgoing, versatile and energetic individual who has a keen sense for quality and urgency.

The Production Supervisor/Lead hands' role is to ensure that the production line runs at optimal efficiency through effective supervision, training, and safety compliance.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Working on shop floor supervising and working hands-on with production workers.
- Identify and troubleshoot problem areas and make changes where warranted.
- Strive for continuous improvement in quality and performance through proper training, good communication and effective leadership & supervision.
- Provide training to new employees.
- Effectively handle employee concerns, suggestions, questions, and conflicts.
- Work alongside employees to improve performance.
- Assign work and movement of material through departments as required to ensure production goals are met.
- Must understand, promote, implement and adhere to all safety, OHSA, ergonomic and good housekeeping standards and practices.

**Requirements**:

- Experience making Jigs or Fixtures to assist in high production outputs.
- Experience using various types of manufacturing machinery and hand tools.
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Ability to positively motivate team members and resolve conflicts.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field will be an advantage.

**Salary**: $22.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
