Position Description: Clark Builders is hiring an Equipment Operators to work on the Red Deer Regional Hospital. This role will be responsible for the safe operation of the Zoom Boom and Skid Steer on a commercial construction site.

Reporting to: Foreman or Superintendent

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Safely operate equipment such as skid steers, zoom booms and other equipment as required
- Load and unload construction materials and move material to work areas
- Complete daily inspections of equipment and communicate any concerns with the Superintendent
- Backfill, Grading and other duties as required
- Circle and inspect equipment. Complete inspection log and check area for hazards
- Maintain a clean and safe vehicle
- Perform additional job assignments as directed by Superintendent
- Represent Clark Builders in a professional and respectful manner
- Adhere to Clark Builders policies and procedures

Skills and Knowledge:

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of tasks in an effective, organized manner, ability to multitask
- Strong communication, analytical skills, and attention to detail
- Basic mechanical knowledge or skill for minor preventative maintenance and pre-shift inspections
- Demonstrate a high level of safety awareness and a clear understanding of equipment safety
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Experience utilizing buckets, forks and other attachments
- Fully trained and competent in the operation of Zoom Boom and Skid Steer

Qualifications:

- Be in good physical condition, able to lift up to 50 lbs, sit and stand for extended periods of time, kneel, climb ladders, and walk on rough terrain
- Valid certification for Zoom Boom and Skid Steer
- Valid First Aid certificate an asset
- Valid ESC Fall Protection, CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 is an asset.
