**How you will contribute as part of the Slaman’s team**:
**Major Responsibilities**:

- Under direction monitors all growing and production tasks
- Assists with planning to structure work efficiently, and coordinate production activities
- Monitors and maintains awareness of plant production and quality indicators such as ventilation, irrigation, soil and other environmental conditions and informs Operations Manager or Grower of concerns
- Maintaining plant health, lifecycle, and spray records for quality control, compliance, data maintenance purposes
- Ensures other Growers are updated with necessary information prior to weekend, holidays, and vacations
- Ensures sufficient plant growing inputs supplies for efficient work schedules
- All other duties as assigned

**What will you need to succeed**:
Education (degree/diploma/certifications)
- No requirements but prior training or education is always an asset

**Experience**

Entry-level
- No prior experience required

**Knowledge/Skill/Ability**
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management
- English written and oral communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of plant pests and diseases
- Ability to adapt to new technology and processes
- Ability to driver pullers (and tow motors if trained) a strong asset
- Ability to multi task and be willing to adapt to priorities and tasks changing on short notice
- Bilingual in English and Spanish an asset

**Position Details**:
**Employment type**: Full-Time

**Duration of employment**: Permanent after 3-month probation period

**Hours of work**: Approximately 40 hrs/week

**Schedule**: Set schedule - Tuesday to Saturday with requirement to work long weekends and extra hours during peak sales times if scheduled or as required due to agriculture production.

**Work Conditions**: Warm environment - Warehouse and Production Greenhouse may range in temperature throughout the seasons 15-35+ degrees Celsius. Cold environment - ready to ship product is stored and packed in a cooler with temperatures ranging from 2-6 degrees Celsius;
**Work location**: In-person

**Salary Range**: $20.00- $24.00 per hour; prior experience and skill set considered when setting salary

**Reports to**: Operations Manager

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
