Job Overview:
Are you passionate about coffee, food, and all things caffeinated? We’re on the hunt for a friendly, energetic, and slightly witty Barista to join our team. You’ll be the face of our café, greeting guests, answering their burning questions, whipping up delicious drinks, and providing stellar service with a side of charm. As the coffee maestro, you’ll keep the café spotless, well-stocked, and buzzing with positive energy while continuously expanding your knowledge of food and drink prep. Key Responsibilities:

- Welcoming guests into the café, sharing details on specials or new items, answering questions, and taking orders and payments.
- Preparing food such as sandwiches and baked goods, grinding and blending coffee beans, brewing coffee and tea, and serving specialty beverages.
- Packaging food and beverages for sale.
- Facilitating beer sales from our bottle shop, if required.
- Selling coffee and tea blends and brewing equipment, highlighting differences between products and educating guests on brewing methods.
- Cleaning and restocking work areas and the café, emptying trash, and sanitizing equipment and utensils.
- Continuously learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation, and presentation techniques to improve quality.
- Assisting with coffee packaging for retail display.
- Ensuring overall cleanliness of the café by sweeping, mopping, and wiping surfaces whenever time allows.
- Updating signage and displays to attract both internal and external guests.
- Taking inventory and replenishing items in display cases, at the dairy station, and behind the counter.
- Working as part of a fun, high-energy team.
- Adhering to all health, food safety, and quality control standards.

Barista Requirements:

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous coffee knowledge is an asset.
- Experience in food and beverage preparation or customer service preferred.
- Willingness to train and continue learning about food and beverage preparation.
- Strong listening and communication skills.
- Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Availability to work peak hours, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- A polite, engaging, guest-focused personality.
- Commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence.
- Willingness to work as part of a fast-paced, high-energy team.
- Smart Serve certified or willing to obtain.

Pay: $17.60 per hour
