**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor residents for side effects or changes in condition (on-site UCP training provided and must be completed).
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Maintain cleanliness in resident living areas and common spaces to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Document resident care activities accurately and report any changes in health or behavior to the nursing staff.
- Support residents with mobility challenges, ensuring their safety while moving around the facility.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs.

**Requirements**:

- Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Proof of 2-step Tuberculosis Skin Test
- Previous experience in caregiving within a nursing home, assisted living, or home care setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and best practices in senior care preferred but not essential.
- Experience working with individuals with dementia or other cognitive disabilities is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
- Ability to maintain a clean work environment and adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to improve the lives of seniors.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including evenings and weekends.

Expected hours: 15 - 37.5 per week
