**Summary of Position**

We are currently looking for a **Full Time Driver/Shipper & Receiver** **at our South (**_5028 104 A Street )_**location**.

Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, the **Driver/Shipper & Receiver **effectively and efficiently executes day to day tasks associated with the Warehouse Department, and has the following Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

- External Customer
- Internal Customer
- As an Ambassador
- Budget and Finance
- Maintenance

**Accountability**: Has the delegated authority to make daily operational decisions to effectively and efficiently execute their **Driver or Swamper** duties
- Informs the Warehouse Manager of any incidents and escalations, providing details of their resolution
- Escalate unresolved issues to the Warehouse Manager

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Adhere to shipping and receiving policies/procedures
- Loading and unloading products from trucks
- Receive merchandise and ensure the shipment content matches invoices/orders
- Pick, pack, seal, and label products to prepare for shipping
- Stock shelves with received shipments, using the appropriate sorting/organization system and equipment
- Move products around warehouse using pallet jack
- Aware and follow basic inventory and waste guidelines
- Work collaboratively as a team and assist other teams when required
- Maintaining clean and organized working environment
- Occasionally using company vehicle to deliver customer orders around Edmonton
- Performs additional duties provided by management

**1. **External Customer**
- Reviews and verifies invoices and purchase requests to ensure accuracy
- Prepare, load and deliver a wide variety of Italian Centre Shop products to clients, within the city and surrounding areas as requested
- Review order with client upon delivery; double checking order against invoice
- Establishes and maintains outstanding relations with customers
- Engage with customers; answering questions and promoting product and services; enhancing loyalty, sales and profits
- Assist in loading and unloading of products from trucks in a safe manner
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently by reviewing the packing/delivery slips and invoices
- Pick, pack seal and label product to ensure they are ready for shipment
- Delivers high-quality products to our customers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner

**2. **Internal Customer**:

- Follow all ICS policies and procedures within the department
- Present and maintains a safe work environment
- Professional and respectful verbal and written communication
- Assists other drivers who may need assistance/are behind on their route
- Assists with Warehouse duties once driving route(s) are completed, which may include receiving, picking orders, cleaning or any other duties as directed by Manager

**3. **Ambassador**
- Promote a positive company image by actively engaging with employees, customers, suppliers and the community
- Represent ICS both in and out of the store
- Ensure truck is cleaned and well maintained to positively represent ICS, regularly cleaning, inside and out. Driver and any passengers must also refrain from smoking in company vehicles

**4. **Budget and Finance**
- Ensure a log is kept of all returns, including the reason for the return (wrong product, unaware of price etc.); reporting returns to Manager daily
- Adhere to posted schedule
- Aware of and follow basic inventory and waste guidelines

**5. **Maintenance**
- Complete a safety check of vehicle prior to leaving ICS, including checking for damage and doing signal and brake checks
- Ensure regular maintenance of truck is completed, including checking oil, fluids, tires, signals and brakes; advise Manager immediately of any maintenance needs
- Complete logs as requested from Manager

- Long periods of standing and walking
- Frequent bending and twisting
- Manual and repetitive tasks
- Ability to work in Cooler/Freezer for various periods of time
- Individuals will be required to lift, move, and push up to 50lbs

**Qualifications**

**Education**:

- High School or GED from an accredited school system or program is preferred.

**Experience**:

- A minimum of two-year experience in a warehouse role.
- A minimum of two-year experience in a customer focused role
