Cafe Assistant

**The Opportunity**

Reporting directly to the Supervisor, Service Caledon, this role is responsible for delivering food service in the Café at Town Hall. As a casual role, the staff will provide exceptional customer service, handle sales, and prepare café items, including food and concessions, for both the public and Town Hall staff. Additionally, the role ensures the Café and surrounding areas are maintained in a clean and organized manner, while contributing to a positive and welcoming environment.
- Make coffee and provide hot water
- Opening & closing duties of the Café - switch on/off all equipment and replenish supplies as necessary
- Prepare daily food items for cafeteria and catering
- Wash and sterilize dishes; wipe down cafeteria tables regularly; regular cleanup of equipment
- Submit weekly food & supply orders with multiple vendors
- Balance cash daily and remit to Finance for deposit

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who holds an Ontario Secondary School Graduate Diploma, a Food Handler Certification and has a minimum of one (1) year experience in food preparation. A post-secondary education in Hospitality, Nutrition and or Culinary Arts is an asset.
