**Overview**:
The Business Systems Analyst II is responsible for gathering and understanding the business need(s) and project scope for intermediate sized projects impacting several business units within GMF; can leverage relationships built across the organization to complete project tasks in a timely manner. The Business Systems Analyst II also acts as a bridge between the business unit(s) and the various IT departments for all projects, maintenance items and investigations by using a variety of documentation methods; swim lane/use case diagrams, workflows, spreadsheets, etc. The documents produced are shared amongst the various IT teams; QA, development, technical architects, PMs and change management to help deliver a business solution. The Business Systems Analyst II has the ability to compile/process moderate amounts of project data (technical and non-technical) into a user-friendly format using a variety of tools. i.e., Visio workflows, PowerPoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets, etc. These documents are shared among the project and management teams involved.

**Responsibilities**:
Gather customer requirements to provide innovative solutions and recommend system, product, and process enhancements

Implement business software and provide systems administration set-up and configuration as needed

Assist in the completion of tasks when team members are unavailable

Design and create production and ad-hoc reports

Conform with all company policies and procedures

Work closely with internal business units to facilitate ticket completion

Miscellaneous duties and special projects as assigned/required

Rotating on call 24/7 Support

Application Support (15%)

Document issues and share/communicate the information with the business units involved in the resolution processes

Administration (10%)

Read and acknowledge company policies and assigned training modules

Other administrative tasks as needed including timesheet submissions

Peer Mentor (5%)

Act as mentor to team members by sharing knowledge/experience with IT staff to promote a team environment

Create an environment that motivates team members to share their ideas

Audit Compliance (5%)

Read and Acknowledge company policies

Ensure compliance with internal controls, security configuration standards, company policies and responsibilities pertaining to the management and security of customer and confidential business information

**Qualifications**:
Knowledge/Skills

Basic knowledge of Word, Visio, Outlook, and Excel (i.e. Word - spell check, insert appendices, Visio - create a workflow)

Basic analytical skills to assist with analyzing and evaluating problems and issues

Flexible and adaptable in regard to learning and understanding new practices

Strong listening, written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills

Highly motivated and dependable

Education

Secondary school degree is required

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent is preferred

Experience

2-4 years of support, analysis and implementation experience in an IT environment or related business area is preferred
