**Job Description**:
As an Applications Specialist within Industrial Hydraulics, you will be responsible for developing and presenting hydraulic system proposals to our customers.

Specific duties include:

- Provide system proposals with creation of hydraulic schematics; system layouts; BOM’s and specifications.
- Execute consistent, responsible and accurate drive system design and pricing proposals.
- Completes technical risk and acceptance of customer RFQ’s.
- Coordinate hydraulic system design with electronic control system design during the proposal stage.
- Prepare technical portion of customer documentation for proposals and support during sales negotiations.
- Develop opportunities at existing customers and assist in development of customer strategy (added value, technology, market, etc.)
- Responsible for order review.
- Technical support of system start-up and final technical customer acceptance.
- Working with various stakeholders formalizing a lessons learned for next proposal and experiences.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering or College diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology
- Sound knowledge of hydraulic systems; 2 - 5 years of hydraulic or mechatronic design.
- High degree of accuracy and efficiency in performing complicated tasks with mínimal supervision.
- Aptitude toward work environments that include being in front of customers, both internal and external work teams, as well as independently.
- Strong negotiating, interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
- Good sound judgement and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency with computers and software e.g. Windows, Office.
- Knowledge of electrical control systems and PLC’s.

Additional Information

Domestic and some international travel required to customer sites for meetings, start-ups, commissioning, technical reviews, etc.
