**Growlies Pet Foods Inc.** (‘Growlies’), is one of the leading pet specialty retailers in British Columbia focusing on the sale of frozen raw pet food and is widely regarded as one of the top retailers of raw pet food in Canada. Growlies' mission is to make raw, high-quality pet food as accessible as possible to pet owners in the community it serves. Growlies also offers customers a limited selection of dehydrated and canned food as well as a range of premium supplements and treats.

Growlies is seeking a motivated Sales Associate to join its retail store on a part-time basis in Langford, BC. S/he must be detail orientated with exceptional customer service skills and an interest in raw pet food. The position offers the opportunity to assist with store operations, interact with customers and embrace the pet specialty retail industry.

**Position Summary**

**Essential Functions**
- Educating consumers on raw pet food and identifying pet owners’ needs
- Providing nutritional advice to pet owners and recommending supplemental products
- Assist with customer service and problem resolutions
- Rotating stock around the store
- Operating the sales terminal
- Tending to and resolving customer concerns
- Lifting and maneuvering up to 50lb boxes of products
- Occasionally working in a cold storage facility with temperatures around -18C

**Qualifications**
- Sales and retail experience
- Experience with POS/inventory software including Shopify, Acceo Smart Vendor
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Love of pets and extensive knowledge of pet specialty retail, with preference given to individuals who are educated on frozen raw pet food
- Strong demonstrated customer service and troubleshooting skills
- Highly flexible, with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Attention to detail in all areas of work

**Salary**: From $17.00 per hour
