**Summary**:Reporting to the Regional Director, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily maintenance operations of the designated residential portfolio, including adhering to internal processes, coordinating with internal and external parties, and ensuring compliance in various aspects of building operations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Be the first point of contact for site team members in all matters pertaining to building systems (i.e., HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire, etc.)
- Ensure team members are coordinated in their efforts and approach to routine property maintenance, minor repairs, fire life safety and other requirements as per fire/building code and safety obligations
- Coordinate with site teams and Property Managers on the Work Order completion process, including intervening where required to ensure that site personnel are equipped to carry out remedial work, to help determine whether third party vendor(s) are required, as well as ensuring that the repairs are completed within a timely fashion
- Provide on-going training initiatives to team members on various topics including fire, life and safety, building systems, as well as on-boarding training on health and safety and other operational requirements
- Manage various components of the fire and life safety process including maintaining accurate and up-to-date fire safety plans, annual fire certificates, fire logbooks, building fire and life safety binder
- In coordination with the Property Manager, facilitate the resolution of regulatory non-compliance items (including code and by-law violations, City Orders, Notice of Violations, etc.)
- Coordinate annual unit inspection with the Operations team and manage identified deficiencies
- Assist with all building emergency situations, including compliance with emergency response plans as well as debriefing and reviewing emergency events

**Who You Are**:

- 5+ years maintenance experience or experience in the property/facility maintenance field
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of building systems
- Must be available for after-hour emergencies
- Strong trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
- Must have access to a vehicle and valid Ontario “G” driver’s licence.
