**CDL Class 1 DRIVER - Long Haul (Calgary-Edmonton)**

Position summary

We’re looking for Class 1 CDL Driver for our transfer truck between Edmonton-Red Deer -Calgary. This position can be based out of Calgary or Edmonton.
- Home every evening
- Haul between Calgary-Red Deer-Edmonton

**Responsibilities**:

- Complete scheduled deliveries and pickups
- Perform and log daily truck and/or trailer inspections before departure and end of the day
- Document the freight’s condition before departure and proof of delivery
- Log hours of service, distance driven, rest stop durations, all fuel, and expenses
- Communicate any delays due to road conditions, accidents, or breakdowns to dispatch
- Load and unload materials
- Ensure load securement, including the installation of corner boards to protect products while in transport
- Match shipments to sales invoices and inventorying loads
- Use Samsara to ensure compliance, safety, efficiency, and customer service

**Requirements**:

- Passionate about excellent service & teamwork
- Prefer a minimum of 3 years of driving experience
- Dedicated to safety, on and off the road
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Class 1/AZ Driver’s License and acceptable driver’s abstract
- Experience in the construction/roofing business is an asset
- Ability to drive trucks with a manual transmission
- Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills
