**Residential Support Worker
- Casual Positions Available in Dartmouth**

**Job Summary**:
**Responsibilities and Duties**:
**Qualifications and Skills**:

- A belief that all people should be treated with dignity and respect.
- Meaningful experience with people who have developmental disability and physical disability.
- Some post secondary university education (Min 1 year) or relevant college education.
- 7 Core Competency Training (as required by Government ) is required. Employer will provide the training. Training must be completed within 6 months.
- Willing to complete all training required by the Department of Occupational Health & Safety. Employer will provide the training.
- An ability to demonstrate empathy and compassion.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, working with others, taking initiative, problem solving, planning and organizing.
- A desire to build relationships with people who have disability while supporting their individual needs, interests and personal goals.
- An ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work some days, evenings, weekends and holidays and overnights.

**Compensation and Benefits**:
**Casual**:$20.51/HR ( + 6% vacation pay)**

Paid training, Employee Assistance Program and Wellness program.

All successful applicants will be required to provide a current criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.

**Experience**:

- supportive care: 1 year (required)

**Language**:

- English Level 6 CLB (Canadian Level Benchmark) (required)
