**CS 1000: Ancient Greece and Rome (Latin side of the course)**:
Although this course will necessarily include a brief historical outline, it is less concerned with battles and politics than with the cultural and social life and achievements of GreeceAmong the topics to be considered are: magic, religion and philosophy and their inter-relationships; the aesthetic principles of the art and literature of the Greeks and Romans and their masterpieces of architecture, sculpture and painting, poetry and prose; the structure of society; the position of women; slavery; everyday life; sport; warfare; and medicine.

**Responsibilities**:
You will be responsible for all activities associated with the successful delivery of the course, including but not limited to: developing, preparing, and delivering the course; setting and marking examinations, assessing the academic work of students, and reporting grades.

**Qualifications**:
In accordance with the Faculty Collective Agreement, consideration of applicants will include an assessment of previous performance, experience, and qualifications, including qualifications which go beyond the requirements for the position. Applicants should have fluent written and oral communication skills in English.
