Global Furniture Group is looking for a **Injection Molding Maintenance Technician **to join our Plastics division. This position works 100% on-site at our Steeles/Dufferin location and may require occasional Saturday availability.

As a key member of the maintenance team, the maintenance technician is responsible for all maintenance aspects on the injection molding machines, preventative maintenance, repairs and upkeep.

Role Responsibilities:
1. Maintain injection molding machines such as Nissei, Toshiba, Mitzubishi, Engel - newer and older models

2. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment system faults, ensure adequate control and safety measures are working and enforced. Enlist OEM as required.

3. Initiate purchase orders for equipment and machinery, parts and materials for production and building requirements, and maintaining critical spares and maintenance inventories.

5. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.

6. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

7. Support maintenance and operational needs. Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records (CMMS system, and ESA log book).

8. Maintain, repair, test, program and install electrical motors, hydraulics, pneumatic electrical control systems, sensors, and variable frequency drives.

9. Perform troubleshooting, repair and maintenance to simple control networks

Qualifications/Skills Required
- College degree/diploma/program and/or Millwright 433A or 442A Electrician certification
- 3 - 5 years experience in manufacturing environment specializing in injection molding
- Demonstrated diagnostic trouble shooting ability
- Mechanical, electrical/electronic experience and training
- Computer skills
- Independent and professional work ethic, able to work independently and as part of a team
