**SUMMARY**

The **Sourcing Specialist **is responsible for collaborating with Sourcing Managers on a multitude of Sourcing projects ranging from RFXs, contract management reviews, and other supply chain management initiatives. Key activities include but are not limited to: managing sourcing events, financial analysis and modeling of proposals, and contract compliance.

**KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

**For the assigned categories and with guidance and support from Manager**:
**Competitive Bids**
- Executes end-to-end competitive bid process for assigned categories
- Partners with Sourcing Manager to negotiate with suppliers to secure optimum cost and maximum value

**Opportunities Assessment & Implementation**
- Performs opportunities assessment activities and drives leverage across all client accounts

**Sourcing Strategy**
- Recommends sourcing strategies that maximize value and mitigate risks to the company and its clients.
- Implements sourcing strategies as approved by the Manager
- Reviews and measures the effectiveness of the strategies
- Tracks all forecasted and realized savings

**Supplier Contractual Agreements**
- Implements, amends and monitors supplier contractual agreements.
- Ensures all contract documentation is current, correct, and available on eHub.

**Strategic Category Management Planning & Delivery**
- Engages stakeholders to understand business requirements
- Recommends category plans for Manager review
- Implements category plans

**Supplier Performance Measurement & Management**
- Serves as an escalation point for strategic supplier non-conformances
- Responsible for supplier performance for assigned categories and reports on supplier sustainability

**Supplier Relationship Management**
- Develops and maintains effective relationships with suppliers

**Strategic Sourcing Best Practices & Industry Trends**
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of strategic sourcing best practices and industry trends
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of assigned categories

**Vendor Qualification & Set Up Process**
- Reviews and approves vendor information changes

**Support**
- Develops and maintains standard templates for strategic sourcing documentation including, but not limited to, contract agreements, scopes of work, service level agreements, and letters of agreements
- Provides/reviews information for generating purchase orders

**Special Projects**
- Special projects as assigned

Other duties as assigned.

**MINIMUM EDUCATION**: University graduation or professional certification (e.g. P. Eng, CMA, CGA or equivalent courses)

**JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE**: Minimum 3 years

**Knowledge & Skills**
- Knowledge of strategic sourcing requirements and practices for procurement of commercial services
- Ability to execute category management strategies and plans
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to work within tight deadlines
- Ability to develop, draft and execute accurate supplier documentation such as contract agreements, amendments, etc.
- Ability to perform analysis on RFx and prepare high level summaries for review in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint formats as required
- Advanced analytical and problem solving skills

**Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation**
