Project Coordinator

We are a leading-edge luxury residential home builder with an outstanding team that takes pride in building well-made and elegantly crafted homes in the most desirable locations across the GTA. We are seeking a versatile and charismatic **Project Coordinator** to provide leadership and support for all aspects of our projects. You’ll wear multiple hats and get great hands-on experience with all aspects of the project working both in the office and onsite.
**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Plan, organize and control multiple construction projects from start to finish in accordance to schedule, specifications and budget
- Oversee and lead multiple construction projects to ensure timelines are met and completed in a timely fashion
- Collaborate with Architects, Engineers and various stakeholders in the design and planning process of new projects
- Establish and maintain an effective cost control system to ensure a project’s profit is maximized
- Allocate resources across multiple construction projects to ensure project budget estimates are controlled and managed
- Oversee the land acquirement process through the initial planning and registration stages to the commencement of construction
- Manage and monitor the construction schedule across multiple projects
- Provide administrative support for all aspects of our projects
- Assist and collaborate with the design team
- Assist and coordinate building permit procurement from municipalities
- Reviewing and negotiating changes to the scope of work for subcontractors
- Reviewing and managing claims for extra costs from Trade Contractors
- Collect quotes from various trades and upload pricing into New Star Enterprise
- Assist in creating and issuing purchase orders for both the trades and onsite
- Track contract, insurance, and WISB expirations for the release of holdbacks
- Keep our homeowner database up to date including updating contact information, closing date information, and uploading all necessary purchaser files and documents into NSE Web
- Ensure all project documents are uploaded into the system
- Keep homeowners informed regarding the progress of their home and arrange frame walkthroughs and Pre Delivery Inspections.
- Issue delayed closing letters and construction notices to homeowners including curb, sidewalk, paving, sod, and asphalt installations and letters regarding security deposits
- Inform utility companies of closing schedules
- Perform walkthroughs of homes to ensure scopes of work are being executed to the highest standards
**Qualifications**
- Minimum 2 years of construction-related experience in a similar position
- Ability to read and review drawings
- University or College Graduates
- Skilled at using Excel and other MS Office programs
- Experience using **Newstar is required**:
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Well organized and able to multi-task while meeting various deadlines
- Ability to work individually or as part of a team
