At our **Woodstock Facility,** we fabricate and assemble components for heavy truck and specialty vehicles. We feature various types of welding, metal forming, saw cutting, painting, assembly departments and manufacture everything from small components to large structures, sheet metal to heavy plate.

**Job Description - Machinist**

Responsible to set up and machine welded components to customer specifications. Select appropriate tooling to complete task in a timely manner. Able to use a variety of measuring equipment to assure tolerances are held.

**Responsibilities**:

- Set up and machine weldments to drawing specifications
- Select appropriate tooling for job requirements.
- Review work orders for specifications, verify materials, and ensure machine (shears, saws, CNC Plasma or Laser Cutting Machine with pre-existing programs) set up corresponds with drawing requirements
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery
- Program PLC’s
- Complete daily maintenance and repair logs
- Communicate and assist co-workers, operators, supervisors, and lead hands when required.
- Maintain and secure work tools.
- Clean and maintain work area.
- Ensure compliance with all Occupational Health & safety Regulations and Organizational Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Follow all lock out procedures when doing repairs, and adjustments.
- Completion of ITP paperwork.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

**Your Skills Set**
- Grade twelve education or equivalent, with basic reading, writing, and some advanced mathematic skills
- 5 years’ experience working as a machinist or machine operator.
- Advanced Skills (Journeyman level) required in PLC Programming or CNC Experience
