We are hiring Personal Support Worker for permanent part-time position within our company.

**SUMMARY**:
The Personal Support Worker will support an individual by promoting their involvement with family, friends, advocates and the community to ensure that their comfort, safety, and health requirements are being met.

The Personal Support Worker will also encourage the individual to develop individual skills, talents and abilities so that they may have maximum control over their own life.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Experience/knowledge of working with chidlren and adult clients with intellectual and mental disabilities.
- Good communication skills both verbal and oral, organizational skills, the ability to work effectively within a team environment, practical decision making abilities and the capacity to work with mínimal supervision.

**CREDENTIALS - (Certificates, Licenses, Memberships and Courses)**
- Must have a valid certification in Emergency First Aid and CPR - current and updated.
- Clear Criminal Record Check with the Vulnerable Sector - registry valid in the last 3 months.
- Adult Abuse and Child Abuse - registry valid in the last 3 months.
- Minimum Grade Twelve education, preferably post-secondary,
- Personal Support Worker Certificate and/or a combination of related education/experience.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Develop and maintain positive and effective communications with the individual and their families, management, co-workers and all others that are involved in the individual care.
- Carry out activities of daily living by endorsing physical care, administering medication, day to day house management, menu preparation and getting the individual to be a part of the community.
- Maintain established notes, individual and communications notebooks, medical records, food intake forms, progress notes, evaluation of programs on a daily basis and address any needs or concerns.
- Prepare incident reports and ensure that they are submitted to the Team Leader.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $12.25-$13.75 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay
