**Hardwood Flooring Sanding and Finishing Supervisor**

**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Scheduling of sanding and finishing projects
- Supervise and coordinate sanding and finishing crews on multiple job sites
- On site stain and finish selection and matching with home owners, designers, site supervisors etc.
- Ensure all sanding, staining, sealing, and finishing work meets company and industry quality standards
- Conduct site inspections to assess progress, address challenges, and ensure safety compliance
- Provide hands-on support and training to team members as needed
- Read and interpret floor plans, work orders, and client specifications
- Maintain a strict project timeline and coordinate with installation teams and subcontractors
- Communicate with clients, project managers, and suppliers to ensure clear expectations and smooth workflows
- Monitor and manage inventory of finishes, stains, sandpaper, tools, and other job-related materials
- Troubleshoot technical issues such as uneven sanding, stain inconsistencies, or finish failures
- Enforce workplace safety protocols and company policies on all job sites
- Assist with site measurements and quote preparation

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in hardwood floor sanding and finishing
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or lead technician role
- In-depth knowledge of sanding machines (drum/belt sanders, edgers, buffers) and finishing products (water-based, oil-based, polyurethane, stains, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail with a passion for craftsmanship
- Ability to lead a team, delegate tasks, and manage job site dynamics
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Physical ability to perform labor-intensive work, including lifting, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
- Basic Computer Skills

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- NWFA (National Wood Flooring Association) certification or equivalent
- Experience working in high-end residential flooring projects
