**THE ROLE**:
As Financial Analyst, you will be a key member of our team supporting our Finance, Treasury, and Investor Relations functions. In this role, you provide critical analytical support and assist with quarter-end deliverables. You will also get involved with driving special projects and initiatives, all while interfacing with various internal teams and external auditors.
**WHAT YOU WILL DO**:
- Treasury:_
- Assist in daily cash management and other treasury functions.
- Monitor corporate bank accounts, including the opening and closing bank accounts.
- Prepare and process wires and code invoices.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly reporting deliverables related to Treasury.
- Prepare loan renewal notices by coordinating signatures internally and delivering to external parties.
- Financing:_
- Support the Financing process, including equity, mortgages, unsecured debentures, credit facilities etc.
- Coordinate and liaise with various teams such as Accounting and Legal on administrative financing matters and ownership structures.
- Prepare timeline with respect to quarterly month end tasks.
- Investor Relations:_
- Create Investor Relations presentations and assist in updating slides on a quarterly basis.
- Update and maintain the investor database while monitor and track changes to company units and unitholders.
- Complete retail REIT peer research for industry comparison.
- Participate in other project and take on other duties as needed.
**WHAT YOU BRING**:
- One (1) to three (3) years of related experience, preferably within a public company.
- Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Business, Finance or Accounting; working towards a designation (CPA, CFA or equivalent) as an asset.
- Commercial real estate industry knowledge and exposure is a bonus.
**WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL**:
- You have an analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends and troubleshoot errors; you are open-minded and can consider new ways of looking at information.
- Adept with IT tools and well-equipped spreadsheet knowledge with the ability to design and implement well-thought-out analytical models.
- Outstanding time management and organizational capabilities to coordinate multiple competing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate across all levels within and outside the organization.
- A team-player; you are willing to step in and lend a hand as needed and identify the opportunities to do so.
