Support Worker

**Duties**:

- Provide assistance and support to individuals in need of care
- Administer medication according to prescribed instructions
- Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming
- Perform heavy lifting and transferring of patients as required
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding if necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Follow care plans and communicate any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals

**Skills**:

- Experience in assisted living, hospice care, nursing homes, or home care settings
- Proficient in patient care techniques and practices
- Ability to administer medication accurately and safely
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
- Compassionate and empathetic nature towards senior care

**Job Type**: Freelance

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- PSW certificate (required)

Work Location: In person
