**We are currently recruiting for individuals who are passionate about providing excellent customer service and know their way around trees and shrubs.**

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Assisting homeowners & landscapers with the selection & purchase of plant material based on their specific requirements.
- Assisting customers to their vehicles with products requiring lifting up to 50 pounds
- Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the retail sales yard to Company standards and customers expectations
- Ensure all plant material has proper signage by doing daily checks of the yard and greenhouses
- Merchandising of products including plants, shrubs, trees, pots and fountains
- Working with other departments as requested

**Key requirements for the position are**:

- Applicants must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
- **Sound knowledge of trees and shrubs as evidenced by work experience or home gardening experience is required**:

- Minimum 2 years of recent (in the last 5 years) retail experience in a fast paced, high volume environment
- Knowledge of landscape design is an asset
- **Completion of courses/program in Horticulture is preferred. Equivalent education and experience will be considered**:

- Flexible availability to work 5 days per week (morning, afternoon, stat holidays, weekends **no exceptions**) every day of the week. Some evenings to 8 pm in May might be required.**Part time hours are available (see below)**:

- Strong customer service skills
- Physically fit in order to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk and bend for up to 8 hours daily
- Steel toe boots/shoes are required
- Fork lift experience is an asset
