East Tea Can is now hiring Full-time & Part-time servers with passion for hospitality, creativity and excellent customer service skills.
Server Job Description:
The server is responsible for the overall dining experience of each guest. They are able to create a memorable and lasting impression whereby every guest cannot wait to return. Their passion for guest service is unparalleled.
Role of the Server
- Be enthusiastic, professional and hospitable
- Ensure every guest leaves wanting to return
- Give the guest suggestions/recommendations for food & drinks based on their wants or needs
- Possess a sincere attitude to be of service to others with a desire to succeed

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Knowledge of East Tea Can including all products, menu’s and promotions
- Table service; taking orders, answering menu and beverage inquiries, explaining daily features, placing orders with kitchen while following all standards as it pertains to each task
- Delivery of food & beverage to tables in the dining room
- Processing bills and taking payment
- Handling guest concerns with and without the support of the management team
- Providing the highest quality of service at all times in all guest interactions
- Clearing, setting, polishing and cleaning tables, glassware & utensils
- Preparation and cleanliness of dining room & service stands before, after & during each service
- Proper adherence to all cash handling procedures as outlined in company policies
- Correct use of POS system, adhering to all company standards and policies

- Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and management.

Job Requirements:

- Ability to prioritize and stay organized in a high-paced environment
- Minimum of 2 years related serving experience
- Fluency in English both written and verbal
- Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to carry and lift items weighing 20lbs
- Must be able to stoop and bend
- Must be able to stand and move for extended periods of time to continuously perform essential job functions.
