**LUNCH SUPERVISORS NEEDED for SEPTEMBER 2025**

**Location: Bruce Middle School, St. James-Assiniboia School Division**

**Job Summary**:
**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Supervise students during the lunch period in designated areas, including classrooms, the lunchroom, and outdoor spaces.
- **Actively participate in outdoor supervision by walking and moving freely on the hardtop and field to effectively monitor student activities. Outdoor supervision is required year-round, including winter, unless weather conditions are deemed too severe.**:

- Ensure student safety by taking attendance and addressing any issues or concerns.
- Maintain order and discipline, referring unresolved concerns to the Vice Principal or Principal as needed.
- Ensure lunchroom cleanup is completed.
- Perform other duties related to lunchroom and outdoor supervision as assigned or required.

**Typical Hours of Work**:

- Monday to Friday, 12:10 p.m. to 1:10 p.m.

**Rate of Pay**:

- $17.21 per hour plus 4% vacation pay.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with students.
- Ability to provide active supervision, including moving freely and monitoring large groups of students outdoors.
- Past experience working with children or in supervisory roles is welcome.
- Capable of following oral and written instructions.
- CPR and First Aid certification are considered assets.
- Must have, or be willing to get, a Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry.
- Live in the local area, less than 5km’s from the school.
- Be **mature, reliable, and punctual**, with a strong sense of responsibility and a positive attitude.
- Take pride in contributing to their community and creating a safe, supportive environment for students.
