**Position Description**:
The Audiologist will provide audiological and/or vestibular assessment and management of children 0 to 18 years of age. They will act as a resource for the public and professional communities seeking information about balance, hearing, hearing loss and management of children with hearing loss or balance dysfunction.
**Here’s What You’ll Get To Do**:
- Independently assess the function of the peripheral auditory and vestibular system
- Prescribe and evaluate hearing aids and other assistive devices
- Counsel and liaise with school boards and community services
- Interpret test results and prepare reports
- Provide counselling regarding test results, hearing loss, use of hearing aids, community services and management of the hearing impaired child
- Supervise support personnel
- Participate in research studies with the objective of knowledge transfer
- Participate in educational activities such as supervising and providing mentorship for trainees
**Here’s What You’ll Need**:
- Master's degree in Audiology or equivalent
- Registration with the College of Audiologist and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario
- Paediatric experience and an audiological background encompassing a strong paediatric component in the areas of basic and advanced assessment techniques. Provincial Infant Hearing Program training is an asset.
- Skilled in the management and prescription of hearing aids and assistive listening devices for children. Provincial Infant Hearing Program training is an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to utilize critical thinking and problem solving strategies
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to supervise communication disorders assistants
