**JOB SUMMARY**:
As part of a multidisciplinary and diverse team, the Project Coordinator
- Sexual Health provides oversight, management and research administrative coordination for 2-3 UBC faculty/ CGSHE directors on their faculty-led research projects and Centre-wide initiatives (e.g. Research Equity Toolkits; Speaker Series; Decolonizing Sexual Health Series; Trainee Symposium).

Reporting and supervised by relevant director(s)/ faculty, the Project Coordinator provides coordination and research administrative support for gender equity and sexual health research events, resource development, and campaigns. The Project Coordinator is a key resource onsite for research staff and students of 2 faculty/ directors, including onboarding, budget, and research admin support. At a centre level, this position also acts as the point person for CGSHE faculty members and manages sharing of resources and opportunities within faculty as well as to broader CGSHE network. The position regularly collaborates on centre-wide events and activities that intersect with the Operations team (e.g. Communications Lead).

**WORK PERFORMED**:

- Provides oversight, management, and research administrative coordination for key gender equity and sexual health equity research and practice initiatives led by directors/ leads
- Manages UBC FoM 4th Year Undergraduate Research Elective in Gender and Sexual Health Equity and FLEX placements hosted at CGSHE, including coordination with UBC site coordinator, relevant faculty, and prospective elective students
- Manages onboarding, onsite set up and logístical support for undergraduate, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows and research staff working with 2 faculty/ directors
- Provides coordination and logistics oversight for CGSHE research and practice virtual and in-person events and symposiums at CGSHE/ UBC FoM (e.g. Speaker Series; Decolonizing Sexual Health Series; Lunch and Learns; Trainee Symposiums)
- Manages and oversees the budgets and track expenses and submits for reconciliation for vendors and petty cash for 2-3 UBC faculty/ directors
- Promotes and prepares copy for sexual health research equity and KT initiatives (e.g. reports, newsletters, blogs) for relevant directors/ research leads and community advisories
- Coordinates meetings with diverse stakeholders and develops supporting materials and summaries
- Oversees the research and academic affairs of 2 faculty/directors (e.g., CVs, scheduling, travel, teaching dossier)
- Facilitates effective triaging of internal and external correspondence, determination of appropriate action, and timely follow-up as appropriate.
- Facilitates faculty membership onboarding, communication and membership support for faculty / faculty e-list (e.g sharing of grants, opportunities)
- Develops and executes team correspondence, presentation materials, and resources.
- Edits and finalizes reports for accuracy and formatting
- Liaises and communicates in a professional and courteous manner with faculty, collaborators, partners, staff, funding agencies, and the public to share information.
- Manages logistics for Centre-wide meetings for the relevant directors, including preparation and dissemination of supporting materials and reports.
- Performs other related duties as required.

This is primarily an onsite position based at the CGSHE-UBC Hornby St office supporting teams onsite with some flexibility for hybrid/ remote work 1-2 days/ week. Travel to meetings may be required from time to time.

**DECISION MAKING / ACCOUNTABILITY**:
This position works with a high degree of independence and responsibility and exercises a considerable amount of judgement. Errors in judgment could result in serious financial or reputational consequences for the CGSHE/ UBC, undermining the Centre’s ability to meet commitments and achieve its strategic objectives, including the inability to successfully meet granting agencies’ deliverables. Inaccurate projections and forecasts could cause the Centre to make costly decisions regarding levels of investigator and staff resources and other support. Poor public/private sector relationships could result in a negative image of CGSHE / UBC and may impact levels of research funding made available through partnerships. Errors could result in significant concerns regarding the liability, credibility and integrity of the CGSHE and UBC.

Provides supervision support to research administrators, as needed.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Minimum Qualifications**
- Completion of a university degree in a relevant discipline or technical program and a minimum four years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Some positions may require a graduate degree.
