Reach Youth Services is currently seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as **Youth Care Workers**. We are hiring a full time position, and a part-time position with opportunities to pick up additional shifts, based on organizational needs.

**Position Overview**

As a Youth Care Worker, you will provide direct care, supervision, and support to youth in a home setting. The role emphasizes **relationship-building**, **youth engagement**, and **positive role modeling** to foster growth, healing, and empowerment in young people.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide daily care and supervision to youth with a focus on safety, respect, and individual needs.
- Build healthy, supportive relationships with youth through active engagement and mentorship.
- Support day-to-day routines including:

- Meal preparation
- Medication distribution
- Housekeeping and facility maintenance
- Oversight of youth chores and laundry
- Maintain accurate documentation, including shift logs and incident reports.
- Encourage and participate in recreational and physical activities tailored to youth interests.
- Promote and facilitate participation in culturally relevant and community-based programming.
- Support youth in life skills development including emotional regulation, healthy living, and independent living skills.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment by completing daily and scheduled cleaning tasks.

**Qualifications & Requirements**
- **Criminal Record Check** (current and satisfactory; dated within 3 months of hire)
- **Child Abuse Registry Check** (current and satisfactory; dated within 3 months of hire)
- **Valid First Aid/CPR certification**:

- **Valid Manitoba driver’s license**:

- **Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification** (preferred or willing to obtain)
- Physically, mentally, and emotionally able to perform the required duties
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to maintain professional documentation
- Understanding of trauma-informed care, complex needs and high-risk behaviors, and youth in crisis
- Experience working with youth in a residential or community setting is an asset
- Ability and availability to work shift work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
