Karwal Group is seeking a Full Time Executive Housekeeper for the Quality Inn Airport Dieppe. The Executive Housekeeper is responsible to develop, encourage and support a team of employees who demonstrate excellence in housekeeping and cleanliness of the hotel. Supervises all housekeeping employees, has the authority to hire or discharge, plans and assigns work assignments, give training for newly recruited employees, audit and inspects housekeeping personal work assignment and requisition supplies. Take care of the budget and budget controlling for the department.
**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Manage all housekeeping employees, hires new employees as needed, discharges employees when necessary and take disciplinary actions when policies are not followed. Evaluates employees in order to upgrade them when openings arise.
Plans the work for the housekeeping department and distributes assignments accordingly. Assigns regular duties and special duties for housekeeping staff. Schedules employees and assigns extra days off according to occupancy forecast. Maintains a time log book of all employees within the department.
Recruit and train new employees. Assigns new employees to work with experienced help. Checks on the work of these employees occasionally and observes the report made by the supervisors.
Approves all supply requisitions, such as those for spreads and bathroom rugs. Maintains a lost-and-found department and is responsible for all lost-and-found items. Determines the rightful owner and send correspondences.
**JOB QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS**:
- 2 years of hotel experience / Hospitality Management Program (preferred)
- Fluent in English (Bilingualism considered an asset)
- Able to work a variety of shifts including weekends.
- Able to work in a fast paced and multitasking environment
- Excellent intrapersonal, communication and leadership skills
- Superior problem solving and multi-tasking skills
- Friendly and enthusiastic
- Keen eye for detail
- Direct and coordinate all housekeeping activities and staff
- Establish and enforce housekeeping policies and procedures
- Recruit, hire, and train housekeeping staff
- Monitor and evaluate staff performance
- Monitor and respond to customer complaints
- Ensure that all rooms and common areas are clean and well maintained
- Plan and develop housekeeping budgets
- Ensure all housekeeping supplies are stocked and ordered as needed
- Develop and implement safety and security protocols
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with mínimal supervision
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $43,000.00 per year
