Produce Department Associate

**Job Summary**
**Duties**
- Greet and assist customers with their inquiries regarding produce selections.
- Maintain the freshness and quality of all produce items through regular checks and rotations.
- Organize and stock produce displays to ensure an appealing presentation.
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and displays to uphold health and safety standards.
- Operate cash registers for transactions, providing excellent customer service during checkout.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals and maintain a positive work environment.
- Utilize forklifts or other equipment as needed for stocking or moving heavy items (if certified).
**Qualifications**
- Strong communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain cleanliness in work areas consistently.
- Experience with cashiering is beneficial.
- Knowledge of produce handling and storage practices is an advantage.
- Ability to lift heavy items safely and operate forklifts (certification may be required).
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
