Gelato Maker

Il Gelato di Carlotta is the largest artisanal Italian food and beverage marketplace in Ontario Il Gelato di Carlotta is not a chain; each Gelato di Carlotta is different, with its own character and own theme - but all with the same aim... for our guests to:

- EAT authentic Italian food at our cafés and to-go counters
- SHOP a selection of high-quality Italian, local and homemade products
- LEARN through our classes and our team’s product knowledge

The Gelato Maker produces delicious gelato according to our authentic Italian recipes. Reports to the Head of the Gelato chef.
- Produces gelato according to the daily production schedule
- Follows recipes and production protocols explicitly, carefully weighing and measuring all ingredients as specified to the gram
- Ensures product meets quality standards established by the Head Gelato Chef and Executive Chef
- Maintains a sanitary workstation in compliance with Department of Health standards
- Performs other duties as required or assigned

**Qualifications**

QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of experience in a back of house production position

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings and weekends
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
- Ability to operate commercial pastry equipment
