We are seeking one permanent full-time cook to join our team. The cook will play an integral role in delivering an outstanding dining experience for our residents and guests.
The shifts are: 10:30am-6:30pm and 7:00am-3:00pm.
We are LMIA approved.
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to understand the needs of the elderly
- Must be a team player and maintain excellent communication skills both written and oral with the ability to follow instructions
- Enjoy working in a busy environment
- Must be in good health
- Prepares and produces all meals as per the posted menu
- Plates the meals for lunch and dinner.
- Responsible for cleaning, maintenance and safety of all kitchen equipment
- Monitors risks such as correct food temperatures, fridge and freezer temperatures, and dishwasher temperature
- Maintains food quality, quantity, appearance, and portion size
- Complies with the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Must complete a Criminal Record Check
- Must possess a diploma from a recognized technical program for cooks
- Food Safe Level 1
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $22.50 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
