SAP S/4hana Basis Administrator

**Job Title: SAP S/4HANA BASIS Administrator**

The SAP BASIS Administrator will lead the administration and optimization of SAP S/4HANA environments across **public and private cloud** landscapes, supporting critical enterprise operations and transformation initiatives. This role requires expert technical foundations in SAP BASIS and HANA, proven experience in multi-cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform), deep cloud operations knowledge, and the ability to manage SAP licensing and BTP cost structures. The position calls for a hands-on leader equally comfortable designing, troubleshooting, and guiding cross-functional teams.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Administer SAP S/4HANA systems (public and private cloud): installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, backup/restore, performance optimization, security, and compliance.
- Deliver expert SAP HANA administration: database management, sizing, scale-out/in, partitioning, backup/recovery, landscape design, performance troubleshooting.
- Design, plan, and execute SAP migrations (Greenfield, Brownfield, Bluefield, carve-outs) across cloud and hybrid landscapes, including Unicode and OS/DB conversions.
- Oversee technical integration between SAP and non-SAP systems; manage third-party API, cloud services, and infrastructure dependencies.
- Operate and optimize SAP CloudALM: onboarding, operations monitoring, alerting, automation, reporting, and integration with enterprise monitoring and support frameworks.
- Provide expert support on BTP landscape setup, entitlement management, SSO, and service integration across multi-cloud providers.
- Track, evaluate, and optimize SAP/BTP licensing, managing entitlements, usage compliance, and detailed BTP service cost calculations ensuring cost predictability and optimization.
- Collaborate with hyperscaler partners (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) to design, provision, operate, and troubleshoot SAP environments for high availability, scalability, DR, and compliance.
- Lead system upgrades, patch management, and cutover planning for zero/mínimal downtime
- Own and manage data quality, integrity, and migration (profiling, validation, cleansing, reconciliation) during transition projects
- Document technical designs, procedures, lessons learned, and contribute to continuous process improvement and knowledge base.
- Train and mentor junior team members where needed, and act as a technical SME in SAP operations reviews

**Required Skills and Experience**
- 8+ years SAP BASIS experience, including at least 4 years focused on SAP S/4HANA and HANA database administration.
- Hands-on experience with S/4HANA public/private cloud deployments, migrations, and optimizations (preferably in GR OW and RISE environments).
- Robust knowledge of AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform platforms for SAP system hosting, DR, backup/restore, and cost/usage management.
- Deep technical understanding of SAP CloudALM operational workflows and integration.
- Demonstrated proficiency with SAP/BTP licensing structures, service consumption, cost assessment, and optimization.
- Background with SAP migration tools (SUM/DMO, SDT), selective transition solutions (SNP, CrystalBridge), and SAP Migration Cockpit.
- Experience with traditional SAP BASIS duties: transport management, configuration, user and role administration, change management, and scheduling.
- Familiarity with hyperscaler-native integration, networking, authentication (SSO), and security frameworks.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and stakeholder communication skills

**Preferred Qualifications**
- SAP certifications (Basis, S/4HANA, HANA, BTP, Cloud Security)
- Bachelor s or master s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
- Solid Support, ITIL or DevOps process experience

Pay: $100,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
