Summer Student

**Position**: Summer Student - Social Media & Marketing Assistant
**Location**: Beautiful Muskoka (remote + occasional in-person adventures)
**Duration**: Summer 2025 (8-12 weeks, flexible start date)

Are you a social media-savvy storyteller with a love for Muskoka and a knack for keeping people in the know? Do you want to spend your summer working behind the scenes of one of Ontario’s top travel destinations? This might just be your _dream gig_.

**What You’ll Be Doing**:

- Helping visitors discover the best of Muskoka by updating event listings on DiscoverMuskoka.ca
- Scouting out and gathering details for local events, festivals, and things to do around the region
- Attending community events and capturing content (yes, you'll actually be _paid_ to explore Muskoka)
- Brainstorming fresh ideas to help us show off Muskoka’s magic online

**Who You Are**:

- A student with an eye for detail, a creative spark, and a passion for Muskoka
- You have experience with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and maybe even Canva or video editing apps
- You’re organized, reliable and comfortable juggling tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Bonus points if you already have your list of the best donut spots in Muskoka

**Who We Are**: Muskoka Tourism Marketing Agency (MTMA)?

MTMA is a not-for-profit membership association funded by the District of Muskoka, membership and marketing programs. Our agency is overseen by a board of directors that represents a broad base of tourism businesses and interests from within Muskoka.

**Who is eligible?**
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period*;
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment**;
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
- *The youth must be 15 years of age at the beginning of the employment period. The youth may be more than 30 years of age at the end of the employment period as long as the youth was 30 at the beginning of the employment period.
