Montreal Corporate Head Office, where most of their employees are based, offers career opportunities in Design, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Finance, IT and HR as well as in the Production and Warehousing facilities.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Assistant Controller will contribute to and maintain the company’s accounting and financial processes and ensure accurate financial reporting. The Assistant Controller will be working with teams internationally, reporting into our headquarters in Montreal.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Perform monthly analysis, reconciliation, and variance review by understanding the full accounting cycle
- Prepare and understand consolidated balances, including reconciling intercompany balances
- Prepare the month and year end closing, including journal entries and related tasks
- Participate in the yearly consolidated financial statement preparation
- Participate in annual audits and tax audits
- Review processes and reports and implement improvements where needed
- File monthly sales tax entries and other government requirements for Canada and USA
- To assist the Financial Controller in every task needed and to help the General Accountants as required
- Other related tasks and Ad hoc projects

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA designation is an asset
- 4 to 6 years of pertinent work experience
- Ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with an international company using multiple currencies
- Detail oriented, possesses strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Solid communication skills and ability to work with external partners
- Strong technical skills using Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Microsoft D365
- Manufacturing and retail knowledge an asset
