Dog Groomer

Good Dog has an immediate opening for a Dog Groomer in our Port Coquitlam location.

The Dog Groomer is responsible for providing services as booked to grooming clients in a caring
and compassionate fashion.

**Start Date**: Immediately

**Hours**: Tuesday - Friday 10am - 6pm and Saturday 9am - 5pm

**Job Type**: Full-Time, Permanent

**Pay**: $22-28/hour dependent on experience

**Location**: Port Coquitlam _**Note**_: Location is not transit accessible

**Responsibilities**:

- Complete grooms of scheduled pets
- Ensure they are adhering to the expectations of care and attention to detail
- Promote grooming services using social media and other platforms and create and share content related to the grooming services
- Continuously remain engaged and passionate in the line of work
- Ensure the wellbeing of the dogs in our care
- Ensure clients are prebooked to help drive repeat business
- Recommend Add On Services as needed
- Facilitate growth by encouraging clients to make use of other ranch services and propose new services to grow the business
- Develop strong relationships with clients
- Maintain hygiene of grooming spaces and equipment

**Requirements**:

- 2+ years of experience providing grooming services to pets
- Animal CPR considered an asset
- Certificate in dog grooming considered an asset
- Proven ability to actively engage and lead in a team environment and compliance to protocols and procedures
- Proven ability to behave with respect and compassion
- Ability to build a good rapport with animals and have a friendly and patient nature
- Possess a professional and upbeat attitude
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to read and speak English fluently
