We are located at 4987 Portage Avenue (Headingley, MB).

The Driver - Class 5 is directly responsible for the pickup and delivery of loads with duties including but not limited to:

- Performing a daily pre-trip truck and equipment inspection, including an electronic pre-trip inspection
- Following written and verbal instructions from the Shipping Supervisor for deliveries and pickups
- Loading and unloading lumber and other related building materials
- Ensuring that every load is secured appropriately, according to safety and legal requirements
- Counting items on every load to ensure the counts match the attached paperwork
- Assisting the warehouse/yard team with staging loads in assigned areas
- Tagging products with relevant information (e.g., Sales Order #, PO #, Customer Reference, etc.)
- Completing all required paperwork and returning the paperwork to the Shipping Supervisor after each run
- Other duties as assigned

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Valid Class 5 Manitoba Driver’s License
- Must have a clean driver’s abstract
- Forklift licensed or experience to operate a truck-mounted forklift will be considered an asset
- Must have basic knowledge of routine maintenance - checking oil, gauges, fluid levels & tire pressure, etc.
- Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs for an extended period of time
- Must have a strong work ethic and have the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
- Must have 1-2 years of driving experience
