School District 72 is looking for a **temporary**1.0**FTE**Alternate**Education**9**to**12**teacher**to join our team of educators at **Robron**Centre** who strive to bring the district's learning beliefs to life.

School District 72 (Campbell River) is located on the east coast of central Vancouver Island, extending north to Sayward and south to Oyster River. The district also includes the outer islands of Read, Cortes, and Quadra. The district serves over 5,600 students in 18 schools with a diverse range of programs that are progressive and responsive to the educational needs and interests of students.

- Knowledge of Indigenous (inclusive of First Nations, Metis, and Inuit peoples) histories, culture, and contemporary context, allowing for the incorporation of Indigenous content in curriculum and unit planning.**:

- An understanding of and/or experience with Moodle courses would be beneficial.**:

- A proven ability to work respectfully and cooperatively with a variety of students and school personnel.**:

- Support the goals of the District's Strategic Plan and mandate of the Indigenous Education Department.
- At least two years of successful classroom teaching experience in an alternate school or program would be an asset.**
