**Position Summary**:
Building on Musicianship I, students will enhance aural skills through sight-singing and notation/dictation, with increased focus on developing artistic musicianship on their principal instrument through performance and practice techniques, as well as enhancing improvisation techniques. Students will explore advanced harmonic progressions, voicings, and refine/develop aural skills in Western notation, with some exploration of non-Western notational practices.
**Qualifications - Required**: Master's in Music. Teaching experience in aural skills and improvisation in any of the following contexts: post-secondary education, K-12 education, community-based education. Knowledge of improvisation methods is required.
**Qualifications - Assets and Preferences**: Experience teaching music theory.
