You must be highly responsible, a quick learner, have a positive personality, and have excellent people skills to provide high-level, quality customer service to our clientele. A minimum CAIB level two license will be required. Education is a pillar of Affinity Insurance's values, and as such, we will help you accomplish your continuing licensing requirements.
Full-time employees will be entitled to three (3) weeks of paid vacation time and 10 days of paid sick leave per year, including five (5) Family Care Days and Superannuation after one year of employment.

**Benefits Overview**
**Full-Time**
Vacation - you’ll be entitled to paid vacation, such vacation to be earned at a rate of three (3) weeks per year (prorated for the remainder of the first year of employment).
Sick leave - Affinity will provide sick leave in the unfortunate event of illness or accident occurring to an employee or a member of the employee’s immediate family. Permanent employees shall accumulate sick leave credits at ten days per calendar year.
Family Care Days - applies to illness or serious situations with family members where an employee needs or wants to be in attendance. Up to five (5) days of your accrued sick leave per year can be used.
After three months of continuous employment, you’ll be eligible for the following benefits:
- Life and Accident Insurance - life/accident insurance coverage on the employee. Affinity Insurance pays 100% of the premium.
- Accidental Death, Disease & Dismemberment - benefit dependent upon the situation. 100% premium paid by Affinity Insurance.
- Dependant Insurance - life insurance coverage for spouse and dependent children. 100% premium paid by Affinity Insurance.
- Long-Term Disability (Taxable) - coverage will be provided should you become disabled and unable to work for a period of time. Affinity Insurance pays 100% of the premium.
- Second Opinion Consult Services - provides employees and their dependents with the best medical advice and treatment planning available through a second opinion consult service. 100% of the premium is paid by Affinity insurance.
- Extended Health Care with Vision Coverage - provides coverage for eligible medical and hospital expenses, including drug coverage. Two levels of coverage are available at the option of the employee. 100% of the premium for any level of “single” coverage will be paid by Affinity Insurance and the employee will pay for any premium associated with covering their dependents.
- Dental Care - provides coverage for certain dental expenses with two levels of coverage available at the employee's option. 100% of the premium for any level of “single” coverage will be paid by Affinity Insurance, and the employee will pay for any premium associated with covering their dependents.
b) After one (1) year of employment, you will be eligible for:
Superannuation - bi-weekly contributions calculated at 5% - 7% before tax (gross base salary) and matched 100% by Affinity Insurance.
**Part-Time**
Part-time employees working less than 10 hours/week or part-time employees that are term employees may elect to have vacations paid out with each cheque.
Sick leave - Affinity will provide sick leave in the unfortunate event of illness or accident occurring to an employee or a member of the employee’s immediate family. Where employees work less than full-time hours, sick leave credits will be prorated accordingly. It is agreed and understood that it is not a benefit that is separately payable or due in cash and that, in the event, the employment is terminated for any reason and there remains unused sick leave, such leave is forfeited.
Family Care Days - applies to illness or serious situations with family members where an employee needs or wants to be in attendance. Up to five (5) days of your accrued sick leave per year can be used.
Part-time employees are eligible for the AIS benefit package and have worked an average of ten (10) hours or more per week over a three (3) month period. The part-time employee will no longer qualify for benefits if, during any six (6) month period commencing January 1st or July 1st, the average hours worked is less than ten (10) hours per week.
