**Accounting Manager (Remote, ON)**

As a leader in innovative smart waste technology and value-added solutions, we are growing our Finance team and looking for a detail-oriented, strategic, and people-focused individual to join us as an **Accounting Manager**.

**Job Summary**:
We’re looking for a collaborative and experienced **Accounting Manager** to lead our day-to-day accounting operations. In this role, you’ll oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions, while mentoring a team of accounting professionals. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supporting month-end close, and driving process improvements across the department.

**What You Will Be Doing**:

- **
Lead and Supervise**: Manage daily accounting operations including AP, AR, and bank reconciliations. Mentor and develop a team of accounting coordinators.
- ** Team Support**: Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of accounting staff (e.g., Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and cash transactions) while supporting the team in their client and vendor relationships.
- ** Support Financial Reporting**: Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports for accuracy.
- ** Drive Improvements**: Maintain and improve internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- ** Collaborate Cross-Functionally**: Work with departments like Billing, Sales, and Operations to resolve accounting issues and support business operations.
- ** Ensure Compliance**: Maintain adherence to internal controls while handling sensitive financial data with integrity.

**What We Are Looking For**:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience with Concur expense software is an asset.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
