Do you have a passion for plants and being outdoors? Freson Bros. is looking for a friendly and energetic person to be a Garden Centre Clerk in Edmonton, Alberta.

**Qualifications**:

- Warm and welcoming personality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- General knowledge of basic horticulture, landscaping, greenhouse and nursery maintenance
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
- Comfortable working during peak grocery-retail hours (i.e. evenings, weekends, and holidays)

**Role and Responsibilities**:

- Assists in the selection, ordering, planting, culture, and maintenance of seeds, flower beds, trees, shrubs, ground covers, and turf grasses.
- Production of bedding plants, potted plants, and nursery stock and maintains records on the growing operation.
- Provides advice on the proper methods and techniques of planting ornamental plants, pruning, wound dressing, cavity repair, and the cabling and bracing of trees and shrubs.
- Assists in the preparation of maintenance programs for the control of plant diseases and insects.
- Assists in preparing fertilizer programs for various types of plants.

**Position Details**:

- Position Type: Part
- Time, Temporary
- Location: Edmonton, AB
- Wage Range: $15.00 - $20.00/ hr (minimum $13/hour for students under 18 years of age)
